Where Does the Name City On A Hill Come From?

Based on the words of Christ found in Matthew 5:14, we exist to be “a city on a hill,”
a community where persons can see and then become deeply committed followers of Jesus. This is our purpose statement.
- 89% of how we learn is visual; people follow what they see;
- If we model it long enough, others will “catch” the faith;
- Jesus intended disciples to reproduce themselves, (can’t export what we don’t possess);
- Others may hear the message but they’ll follow our footsteps;
Jesus intended his disciples to “model the way,” that their lives would be a beacon to a watching world!
