Trunk or Treating and Games at Johnston Elementary - UPDATED!

Fairy princesses and furry monsters alike look forward to a night around the town on Halloween, but moms and dads worry about the safety of their kids. Children can easily become distracted in the fun and excitement of Halloween while crossing streets. Many homes light up jack-o-lanterns along the paths the children walk, leading to danger of a costume catching on fire. There is an alternative that your kids will love just as much, if not more!

CITY ON A HILL will be reaching out to the community with its first Trunk or Treat. You and your family can be a part of this mission by filling up your trunk (or van) with treats, inflatables, and games for the children that will come and trick or treat in the parking lot of Johnston Elementary School on Sunday, October 26th, 6:00 to 7:30PM. Arrive at 5:50 to set your car up.  To learn how you can help make this mission successful contact Connie Fueston. If you are not "dressing up," remember to wear your yellow shirts.

Trunk or Treat is a Halloween event where people gather and park their cars in a large parking lot. They open their trunks or the backs of their vehicles and decorate them. Then they pass out candy from their trunks. The event provides a safe family environment for trick or treaters. When it comes to decorating your vehicle there are the obvious choices, like decorating for Halloween, using pumpkins, spider webbing, spiders, brooms, bats, cauldrons, scary stuff... But no scary stuff like blood and gore.
