Dear COAH Family,I’m right in the middle of working hard on this week’s message but wanted to take just a few minutes and write a very brief e-note to you.
If you’ve missed worship for a few weeks (or longer) this week is a great week to come back. We’re on the 2nd to last sermon in our “GET REAL” series, a series about spiritual growth and Christian maturity. This Sunday the message is about “Setting Higher Expectations.” We’ve got some great music planned, another sneak peak at our upcoming Christmas series, a special response to this week’s message, and finally the introduction to this year’s Christmas Mission. You definitely don’t want to miss if you don’t have to.
Ok, two very quick MISSION updates.
Our Thanksgiving Mission of boxed-potatoes is coming along well. Our goal was 300 (half of the total needed by MUST ministries, which covers Cobb and Cherokee Counties) and to date we have 271 boxes! Yeah! Thank you. We pray that at least another 29 boxes come in this Sunday to meet our goal.
I also want you to know because of your faithful giving that our church has committed to MUST to give financially out of our budget the cost of whatever it takes to supply whatever remaining number boxes of potatoes they need but as of yet have not received them (from other churches). Thank you for growing in your giving and enabling us to truly be a church with a vision of changing the world one loving act at a time.
The Kairos Prison Ministry Mission has ended with incredible success. As you might remember we share love to these brothers of ours through sharing simple toiletries that they don’t have enough of.
Here is the final tally: 324 bars of soap; 29 bottles of shampoo; 75 sticks of deodorant; 67 tubes of toothpaste; 198 toothbrushes. Wow! Thank you!
Lastly, I want for us to get the word out early… Make Plans for your CHRISTMAS EVE at CITY ON A HILL. This year we’re offering 3 different worship times (5, 7, 9pm); with 3 different themes, all 1 great Christmas Eve. Read all the details by clicking here...
That’s it!
See you Sunday.
Chris
